The Blogger Inside Tag

Photo from: A winged pearl

I am

A girl of many dreams and tons of ambition.

Yet I often feel like a lone autumn leaf in the wind.

I believe in God.

I believe in love and hope.

I am

A person with a mission

An ultimate dream to reach self-fulfillment and understanding of the world around me

But also to successfully build myself as a brand

And to create my dream company a clothing company called Vanille.

You may be wondering, "Who is Aury?"

Well, she started out as the main character of my first novel.

A person I've role-played for several years of my childhood

And still continue to do so occasionally today.

I love travelling and have grown up all around the world.

I love airplanes although I am afraid of heights and feel very much at home in airports.

I love magic and the whole idea of an alternate world.

From Greek and Roman Mythology, to tales of Hogwarts and shows like Avatar all these things intrigue me.

I love reading and I adore libraries.

I love the Internet because it is a wealth of information just waiting to be discovered.

I love social media because it keeps us all connected.

I love art, music and literature.

Art to me is everything that uses imagination and creativity to make it come alive.

I love fashion design and costuming because of their process.

An intangible idea and/or message is turned into clothing by the designer, identified with by the consumer and transmitted to others by the wearer.

I love how you need to have an analytical, critical and artistic mind in order to create a successful design.

I love culture and diversity.

I stand for tolerance and understanding.

Home to me is wherever my heart is.

Wherever my family is but also wherever I feel most at peace.

Deconstruction is a huge part of my world.

The deconstructed and disjoint nature of this post is a true portrayal of my mind.

I feel like my mind is a jungle.

A thick but thriving marshy forest full of ideas, questions and answers.

The problem is not a dearth of resources but one of logical connections and pathways to the resources.

If only I could find the way.

This is the real me.

Trying to make sense of what makes my reality so that I can share with you.

I am Aury.

Love you all and Stay inspired,

P.S. This is a blogger inside blogger tag that I have just created. The rules are as such:

1. Do a blog post in any format that you like and that you think accurately portrays who you are.

2. Tell us what you think makes up who you are. It can be as long or as short as you want.

3. Tag 3 bloggers and pass it on (I tag Dori from Dori the Giant , Krissy from Shimmer Like Gold, and Debbie from Debbie: The College Years )

P.P.S. So let me know what you think. Feel free to introduce yourselves to me in the comments below.

Blogger Award from Chocolate Lemonade and New Blogger Tag (sorta :P)

Dearest Devotees,
As I was catching up on my blog reading last night I stumbled across an award for me from Catie of Chocolate Lemonade! Thank you Catie! She is fabulous and real and if you haven't already you should check out her blog and spread the love :)

The only rules for this award is to place it on the blog and link to 13 of my most beloved bloggers. This is always really hard because I know so many beautiful and wonderful bloggers and would really love to give it to all the bloggers I love but c'est pas possible.

I pass this award to:

And now for the Blogger Tag:
I think I'll call it the "3-5-3" tag.
Rules:
List 3 things that you would want on a deserted island if there was food and water.
List 5 of your favorite novels of all time.
Tag 3 other bloggers.

I'll go first.

Three things I'd want on a deserted island:

1. My Bible (I might be there for a while and my faith is important to me)
2. My Drawing Kit (pencil, pen, eraser, sharpener and Sketchbook)
3. Notebook ( I always want to be able to write a novel, a new song, etc at a moments notice.)
5 0f my Favorite novels of all time in no particular order.
1. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery- I just loved Anne Shirley.
2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling- Really hard to pick one but if I had to I would pick book 4.
3. Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot- I think Book 3 because it was the pivotal part of Mia and Michael's relationship- when he told her he loved her via the cutest most romantic computer message in the history of time.
4. Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief- Two words by Rick Riordan: Greek Mythology.
5. If You Could See Me Now by Cecelia Ahern. Words cannot describe my love for this book. P.S. I love you was great but if you haven't read this, please do. You won't be sorry.

And I pass this tag to:

Love you all and Stay inspired,

P.S. So let me know what you think. What kind of books do you love to read? Feel free to let me know in the comments below.

Blogger tag: Fast Forward to 10 years from now...

A couple of days ago, the lovely Zmaga tagged me with a very cool blogger tag I've been eyeing for awhile now as it made its rounds. It's the 'where will you be 10 years from now' blogger tag and I've been thinking about it ever since I got the tag. I've put a lot of thought into this and I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be to share with you my answers to this uber fun yet thought provoking question.

I tag Leia and Sherin of HiFashion, Michelle of Locked out and Krissy of Shimmer Like Gold.

In 10 years,

  • I will be an artistically oriented, very stylish and self- confident 29 year old. Gulp (just kidding).
  • I will be an established fashion and/or costume designer with my own clothing line-Fashion Empire called Vanille.

  • I will also be a published best-selling author and poet, as well as an accomplished blogger.
  • I will be a successful musician and songwriter. I will have sold several of my songs to artists I admire and will be able to play the piano and viola really well.
  • I will be able to speak not only French and Spanish fluently but will speak them regularly with my two young children and amazing husband, all of whom will be living with me in a lovely home in the French or Northern Irish countryside.
  • I will no longer take ADD medication because I will be so on top of the behavioral treatments for my ADD that I won't need it.

  • Guys will no longer baffle me nearly as much. Or people in general, for that matter.

  • I will have a fabulous studio in my house that I will be able to work from home in. I will also have a charity that my family helps me run on the weekends and that will bring me great joy.

  • My main form of exercise will be dance and I will be able to do several styles of dance including ballroom and hip hop. I will wake up early in the morning each day to practice in a beautiful sunlit room.

  • I will still be an overachiever and a perfectionist, but I will also still be happy.

Love you all and stay inspired,

P.S. So let me know what you think. Do you know where you'd like to be in 10 years. Feel free to let me know in the comments below.

Fun Blogger tag from Erimentha!

Dearest Devotees,

I'm sorry been so scarce, its one of those awful midterm weeks again for me where I have so much school work to do and not enough time, but I should be back to regular posting and just regular stress come next week.
Meanwhile, I decided to partake in and pass along this cool blogger tag Sabine made and that Erimentha passed on to me. Enjoy :)

Rules:
Choose 1 picture that makes you cringe.
Choose 2 pictures that you could stare at for 5 hours.
Chose 1 picture that shows a situation you want to be/ want to be in before you die.
Link 2 bloggers- and tell me why they inspire you.
Link back to Sabine!

This really makes me cringe (eeeek!!!)

I could quite possibly stare at these 2 pictures for hours. I want to live there!

And before I die I hope that I will do this:

A of The Glamorous Grad Student- because she is definitely a constant source of design and creative inspiration for me.
My Darling Erika from Cafe Fashionista because she is just plain awesome. I aspire to be as awesome as her someday.

Love you all and Stay inspired,
